Selma Esther Ryan, who died at an assisted-living facility in Austin recently, wasn’t yet born when her sister, Esther, died 102 years ago at the age of 5, according to WGN-TV.
” On April 3, I got a call from the facility that five residents, including my mother, were running a temperature,” Ryan’s daughter Vicki informed the news outlet.
” Over the next 5 days I watched through the window as she got sicker and sicker. It was so difficult to not be with her,” she included. “Her 96 th birthday was April11 Our family collected outside her window, however it was obvious that something dreadful had actually occurred.”
