President Trump Doubles Down On Coronavirus Screening Capabilities

President Trump stated Monday that appropriate coronavirus testing existed but was being underutilized by guvs, following a chorus of problems by state leaders and health care specialists relating to the country’s inadequate screening capacity.

The Monday coronavirus task force instruction comes after a series of tense arguments between Trump and a number of Democratic governors last week.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has actually been catapulted to the nationwide spotlight as leader of the state most severely damaged by the coronavirus, was among the most popular voices at odds with Trump.

Coronavirus Latest: Trump's Fight With Governors Is One He Can't Win

” LIBERATE,” Trump tweeted in all caps, discussing Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia– all states with Democratic governors and state-issued stay-at-home orders.

The administration hopes that this week will bring some bipartisan contract on extra coronavirus relief funding, perhaps including: $300 billion for the Paycheck Security Program, $75 billion in emergency situation funding for hospitals, $50 billion for small-business disaster loans and $25 billion for screening.
