NYPD Chief of Transportation William T. Morris, who is among the department’s top brass, is in the hospital on life support with COVID-19, police sources informed The Post.

Morris, 61, a three-star chief, supervises traffic and highway patrol.

Another high-ranking officer, Transit Bureau Chief Edward Delatorre, fell ill with the virus last month but has actually recovered.

Delatorre and Morris had contact with each other on March 13 at Bellevue Healthcare Facility in Manhattan after a transit police officer shot herself dead.

As of Monday, 4,435 NYPD members had checked positive for COVID-19 2,342 had returned to work after recovering. A complete 30 NYPD employees have passed away due to coronavirus-related diseases.
