Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts surpasses 110,000

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 290 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and confirmed 17 new COVID-19-related deaths across the state Saturday, bringing the state’s confirmed coronavirus death toll to 8,406.In addition to the total of 110,077 confirmed cases in Massachusetts, state health officials also reported 138 new probable cases for a total of 7,963 probable cases. State health officials said that Saturday’s case count appears higher than usual due to ongoing delays in the reporting of test results to the DPH from multiple laboratories. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 290 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and confirmed 17 new COVID-19-related deaths across the state Saturday, bringing the state’s confirmed coronavirus death toll to 8,406.

In addition to the total of 110,077 confirmed cases in Massachusetts, state health officials also reported 138 new probable cases for a total of 7,963 probable cases.
