A New Jersey guy who was clocked going almost two times the speed limitation on a highway attempted to dodge a journey to jail by claiming he had actually come down with coronavirus signs, police stated Wednesday.

Christopher Ospina, 20, of Haledon, NJ, was clocked doing 130 miles per hour while heading west on I-80 Tuesday, according to state authorities.

Ospina managed the interstate in Lodi and stopped at a filling station.

But he later jumped back into his BMW and sped off when he identified State Troopers coming for him, cops stated.

The speedster later turned himself in at the Totowa State Authorities Station, where he tried to tell cannon fodders he had actually COVID-19 signs prior to being hauled off to jail, polices stated. It was not clear if he was truly ill.

Ospina might not immediately be grabbed comment.
