Complainants John and Alexis Altobelli, whose moms and dads and sibling were killed in the Jan. 26 mishap, have suffered financial and noneconomic damages as a result of the business’ alleged recklessness, according to the suit.

An almost similar fit was submitted on behalf of Christina Mauser’s widower and children. Mauser was a basketball coach with the Mamba Sports Academy.

In February a preliminary investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board discovered no indications of engine failure.

What began as a regular trip from Santa Ana, Calif., to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks rapidly altered; regardless of heavy fog and harsh weather condition, pilot Ara Zobayan asked for special clearance from flight controllers to continue flying.

The NTSB found Zobayan flew into the clouds and lost control of the helicopter; soon after that the aircraft crashed into a hillside in Calabassas, killing all nine individuals on board.

The helicopter was carrying Christina Mauser, a coach for the Mamba Sports Academy girls’ group that Gianna Bryant, Alyssa Altobelli and Payton Chester played for. They were likewise aboard, as were Altobelli’s moms and dads and Chester’s mom.

Attorneys for Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s widow, filed a wrongful death lawsuit in February, on the exact same day a memorial service was held for her child and the Lakers superstar at the Staples.

In that grievance, the plaintiffs contend Zobayan failed “to use regular care in piloting the subject aircraft.”
