Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer stated she was thinking about extending social distancing guidelines in action to Michigan locals who objected her stay-at-home limitations on Wednesday.
Whitmer called the protest in the state’s capital “reckless” during a Thursday night interview with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.
” We might need to actually think about extending stay-at-home orders, which is apparently what they were protesting,” Whitmer stated.

Countless Michigan residents streamed into Lansing on Wednesday to demand that the governor ease limitations meant to stem the spread of the coronavirus and let them get back to work.
” When you see a, you know, a political rally– that’s what it was yesterday– a political rally like that, where people aren’t using masks, and they’re in close quarters, and they’re touching one another, you know that that’s exactly what makes this sort of a disease drag out and expose more individuals,” Whitmer said.

Wilmer said on Friday she hoped to start reopening parts of the economy on May 1. Her stringent stay-at-home order is set to expire on April 30.
