Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti took to Facebook Live on Sunday to give some sobering truths about the economic effect of the coronavirus on the city, but at the very same time, gave a message of hope.
Garcetti stated that L.A. is under attack when it comes to the coronavirus. “Our everyday life is indistinguishable,” he said.
During his address, Garcetti said that the financial impact facing the city will be more uncomfortable than the 2008 economic crisis. That stated, there will be cuts to government programs along with the furlough of thousands of city workers.
