Alabama added 1,846 new coronavirus cases since yesterday as hospitalization due to the virus reached another high.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s July 20 10 a.m. numbers show 67,711 COVID-19 cases in the state with 1,257 deaths. The state’s death count rose by 3 from yesterday.

As of July 19, there are 1,465 coronavirus hospitalizations in the state, the highest since recording began in March.

Alabama has tested 592,608 people for coronavirus, 168,319 in the past two weeks. Of those recent tests, 21,965 – roughly 13% – have been positive.
