Phil Corio and his son Ron Corio apparently both got sick with the coronavirus back in March. Both father and son are OK now, and at 108, what a story dad has to tell.Our partners at the Albuquerque Journal report that 108-year-old Phil Corio and his 58-year-old son Ron Corio, both got sick with COVID 19 at the end of February and beginning of March. Phil Corio said he remembers not feeling well and going to the hospital. He said it seemed “about the same” as having the flu. It took some blood tests for both men to show they did have COVID-19. Phil said if he knew he had it, he might have been scared. As far as this 108-year-old, COVID-19 is not the first pandemic in his lifetime. He was 6 years old when the 1918 influenza pandemic broke out. Phil told the Journal he has no personal memories of the disease that wiped out millions of people.
