COVID-19 reaches Mayo Clinic’s Charter Home

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)– Mayo Center’s Charter House is the 3rd congregate care center in Olmsted County to report a confirmed case of COVID-19

In a declaration, Mayo Clinic stated the patient is not a Charter House homeowner, and the threat of exposure to locals is low.

Mayo stated out of regard for staff member personal privacy, it can’t supply anymore information about the verified case.

Mayo included part: “We acknowledge the general public is concerned about the possibility of the virus spreading. Charter Home is dedicated to taking every needed precaution to include the spread. Those efforts include working closely with Mayo Clinic specialists and public health authorities, in addition to following procedures suggested by the Centers for Illness Control and Prevention.”

Most of Minnesota’s coronavirus deaths were people who resided in congregate care facilities.

Rochester East Health Services and the Rochester Rehabilitation and Living Center have likewise reported verified cases.
