One of them, MedExpress Urgent Care, is now testing people at eight of its New Jersey locations, which can be seen by clicking here.

Those who meet CDC-based screening criteria can review it and call their local MedExpress center to speak with an employee who will go over next steps, the company said.

Testing can be done from a patient’s car.

“As one of the nation’s largest urgent care providers with locations across the country, MedExpress was uniquely positioned to serve our patients and communities by increasing access to COVID-19 testing,” said Dr. Alex Strachan, Chief Medical Officer for MedExpress.

Another group of urgent care centers, Immediate Care, are also now testing people for the coronavirus.

People who feel they are experiencing symptoms of the virus can contact Immediate Care’s locations in Marlboro, Edison, Brick, Red Bank and Hazlet by calling 1-855-925-5467 ext. 0 to schedule an appointment to be tested.

People who wish to be tested must fill out a registration form which will ask them a series of questions including asking about what type of symptoms they are experiencing and if they have been exposed to anybody who has already tested positive for COVID-19.
