]]>Conservative talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh sparred with “The Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God over white privilege on Monday during an unprecedented conversation.
“The Breakfast Club,” a New York City-based morning radio program, has been an essential landing spot for prominent Democrats. Charlamagne Tha God and his co-hosts, Angela Yee and DJ Envy, have grilled current and former presidential candidates from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris. They linked up with Limbaugh for a special conversation about the recent events that have unfolded in the wake of the death of George Floyd while in police custody.
The conversation, billed as two of the nation’s “biggest — and most polarized” voices — started with everyone in agreement that Floyd’s death was a tragedy.
Rush Limbaugh sparred with “The Breakfast Club” co-hosts over white privilege on Monday during an unprecedented conversation.
“There shouldn’t be legalized murder… George Floyd, by everything I’ve been able to tell, was a good guy,” Limbaugh said. “I think that cop should be charged with first-degree murder.”
At one point after Limbaugh noted the success of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God said America “denies black people justice and just plain decency” but black people have been expected to act like they’re “happy to be here” because a few of them, like him, could be well-off.
“When did I say that?” Limbaugh asked, to which the Breakfast Club pointed to the conservative icon’s praise of Charlamagne. He attempted to finish his point when Limbaugh cut him off.

“Charlamagne, you’re adding things to my mouth that I did not say,” Limbaugh said. “I was trying to be complimentary of you and I’m trying to illustrate that you are an example to others.”
The group then had some respectful bickering over Colin Kaepernick and what could be done to stop police brutality in America, when Charlamagne posed a question to Limbaugh.
“RIP to George Floyd but that was not an isolated incident, this is a regular occurrence,” Charlamagne said. “How are you going to use your privilege as a white male to combat this prejudice?”
Limbaugh answered by fighting back against the concept of white privilege.
“I don’t buy into the notion of white privilege. I think that’s a liberal, political construct right along the lines of political correctness, it’s designed to intimidate and get people to shut up and admit they’re guilty of doing things they haven’t done,” Limbaugh said. “I don’t have any white privilege.”
“You’re being delusional,” Charlamagne shot back.

The Breakfast Club then told Limbaugh that an example of white privilege was that a white person would not have been killed in police custody like Floyd was.
“If what happened to George Floyd had happened to a white man, we probably wouldn’t even have heard about it,” Limbaugh said.

]]>Don’t listen to White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s predictable critics. The level of vitriol the leftist media hurls at her daily — during and apart from the press briefings — conclusively proves she is doing a superb job.
Liberal journalists whip their long knives in her direction and seem shocked she doesn’t grovel. They’ve been savaging her since her first press conference on May 1. No one with the audacity to work for President Donald Trump deserves a second’s worth of honeymoon.
On McEnany’s first day, New York Times White House correspondent Annie Karni quoted her as saying she would never lie to the press and then cited numerous examples of her supposedly violating the oath right off the bat.

They were lying in wait for her.
They still are. On May 26, Tom Jones from Poynter called McEnany “arrogant, inexperienced and ineffective.” “(S)he just looks overmatched,” he wrote. “(I)n barely more than a month, McEnany has already had several high-profile controversies.”
I wonder why she’s had “controversies.” Could it be that the White House media cabal enters those briefings with war paint — ready to smear President Trump and discredit McEnany if she interferes with their plan?
The media’s attitude is purely adversarial, yet they act appalled that McEnany returns fire, albeit calmly, respectfully and eloquently. They uniformly dismiss this Harvard Law graduate as green and over her head, but she is remarkably polished, and it is driving them mad.
It would be different if the media were to use the briefings to help inform the viewing public. But few of them ever ask questions that could better inform the citizenry. Instead, they serve up accusations not even thinly disguised as genuine questions.
Let me give you a sadly typical example. Politico’s Ryan Lizza asked McEnany: “What does the White House view as having — by Election Day, what does the White House view as the number of dead Americans where you can say that you successfully defeated this pandemic? Is there a number?”
As I watched this, I was stunned at the brazen inappropriateness of the question — and few things from this bunch surprise me. When McEnany refused the bait and said that every single life matters, Lizza persisted, asking, “When voters go to the polls in November and they want to judge the president on his response to this pandemic, what is the number of dead Americans that they should tolerate …?”
The question was so out of line I admire McEnany for retaining her composure. But she crossed the media’s inviolable line in telling Lizza he was asking the wrong question and suggesting that he could have asked a more pertinent one. How dare she position herself as his equal?
Fair observers know that Lizza’s question was crass, outrageous and an egregious example of the left politicizing everything about the coronavirus.

You see, you are not allowed to talk back to the sacrosanct Washington press corps, especially if you work for that unrefined, interloping president who stole the election and is still trespassing on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. As Trump’s press secretary, McEnany is an accessory to his adverse possession of the White House who forfeited any expectation of civil treatment when she accepted the job.
Some television anchors and commentators are particularly offended by McEnany’s aforementioned practice of parrying the hostile questions they volley at her with suggestions of other questions. This just cannot happen because the press is holy and McEnany is their inferior who must curtsy while they abuse her and slander her boss.

It is odd enough these self-important journos believe they are above challenge, but it is even more so considering they draw first blood. Do they actually believe McEnany is supposed to stand there passively in the face of their mistreatment, and not fire back and reasonably defend herself and President Trump?
I can guarantee you one thing: The tens of millions of Trump supporters don’t agree, and they have her back. We don’t share the media’s warped belief that they can behave rudely and then whine like innocent victims when they get a small dose of their own medicine.
The media can continue this sick charade that they are objective journalists, but half the nation knows better, and the other half probably does, too. But many approve of the media’s odious behavior because they applaud a media at war with a president they loathe. Anyone familiar with media “fact-checkers” knows that today’s left describes contrary opinions as lies.

Even if McEnany were completely deferential, the Trump-hunting media would never accept her unless she betrayed Trump. They would accuse her of lying anytime she presented a position that differs from theirs.
The liberal media will continue to posture and complain about McEnany, and the rest of us can rest assured that in so doing, they further validate her in our eyes.

]]>Rush Limbaugh took to his golden EIB microphone on Tuesday and divulged that he’s in the third wave of cancer treatment but it’s “kicking my ass.”
Limbaugh told listeners they were overdue for an update on his medical status after the talk radio legend announced earlier this year that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

“These are extremely challenging times for me, medically, nothing that million of you haven’t gone through or aren’t going through, and those of you who have, or those of you who are going though it, you understand it,” Limbaugh said. “The temptation here is to start divulging a lot of stuff, I’m not gonna do that because I vowed not to be a cancer patient on the radio.”
Limbaugh repeated that he wants to “shield” his listeners from as much as possible as he battles lung cancer.
“I’m in the third wave of treatment now. There have been many cycles but this is the third wave and, this current wave, I have to tell you is kicking my ass,” Limbaugh said.
“For the last seven days, I have been virtually worthless, virtually useless. I haven’t left the house, I haven’t done much of anything except just try to rest and relax,” he said. “It’s the price that you pay if you make the decision to go ahead and do treatment to try and prolong your life. I’m doing extremely well, all things considered.”

Limbaugh explained he has occasional shortness of breath and sometimes can’t “take five steps without having to stop and sit down,” while carrying anything can be extremely difficult.
“Every day I wake up and the first thing I do is thank God that I did. Just waking up is a blessing,” Limbaugh added. “I know many of you are praying daily and nightly, I happen to believe that they work. I believe that they are sustaining me. I pray for the energy to be able to do this.”
Limbaugh admitted he doesn’t have the energy that he once had, and that his three-hour show seems more difficult than it used to.
“I didn’t realize until I got sick, I honestly didn’t, I didn’t realize how much physical and mental energy [the program demands],” Limbaugh said, noting that producers have “best-of” episodes and stand-in hosts ready if he needs a break.
“I hope that it doesn’t happen… and I’m not making any excuses,” Limbaugh said. “As to how the treatment is going… I’m still here and that’s all that’s important.”
Limbaugh, who was presented with the Medal of Freedom at President Trump’s State of the Union address in February, days after first announcing his sickness, said he refrains from telling listeners specific details about his treatment so that the media doesn’t dive into his health.

“I have just now begun week two of this third cycle,” he said. “Each cycle is three weeks.”
Limbaugh said that one particular treatment “that works in 97 percent of patients” did not work with him because of a “one-percent mutation” that he has.
“That one percent mutation is theorized to nullify the second phase of treatment that we tried,” he explained before praising his wife for supporting him throughout the process.
“The day is going to come where I’m not going to be able to be here and I’m hoping that it is months, years. I’m hoping the cycle that we’re in does its magic, but the day is going to come that it won’t be possible to be here every day,” Limbaugh said. “Any chance to do the show, I’m gonna take it.”
