There is nothing Kellyanne Conway hates more<\/a> than questions about her husband<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The White House counselor seemed genuinely taken aback on Thursday afternoon when Fox News host Harris Faulkner asked her to weigh in on the president\u2019s escalating feud with a group of \u201cNever Trump\u201d Republicans<\/a> that includes her husband George Conway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After noting that Trump \u201chas been in a pretty public battle this week\u201d with the Lincoln Project group after they released a devastating attack ad titled \u201cMourning in America,\u201d Faulkner went on to quote from George Conway\u2019s latest anti-Trump op-ed in The Washington Post<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s narcissism deadens any ability he might otherwise have had to carry out the duties of a president in the manner the Constitution requires,\u201d Conway wrote. \u201cHe\u2019s so self-obsessed, he can only act for himself, not for the nation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I get your reaction on this, this is not about your husband, this is not about your marriage,\u201d Faulkner said. \u201cThis is about that group. It just so happens that George Conway wrote this op-ed today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kellyanne Conway began by questioning the legitimacy of a poll that shows Trump trailing Joe Biden by widening margins, before turning around to attack the host for her question. \u201cIt certainly is about my husband or you would have quoted other people in the group,\u201d she said. \u201cParticularly all the other ones who are political consultants and never achieved what I achieved, which is success as a presidential campaign manager.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Faulkner responded by attempting a joke. \u201cFrankly, Rick Wilson\u2019s was a little too blue for our taste,\u201d she said, referring to The Daily Beast columnist<\/a> and co-host of The New Abnormal<\/em> podcast<\/a>, who is also a founding member of the anti-Trump group.\u00a0<\/p>\n
