Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) argued the coronavirus that struck New york city state did not come from China but Europe, probably Italy he stated. At his Friday coronavirus press rundown, Cuomo said President Trump’s China travel ban was too late and the horse had long left the barn.

” Researchers now find and they report in some papers, the infection was spreading out wildly in Italy in February and there was an outbreak, massive break out in Italy in February,” Cuomo said. “Researchers now say there were likely 28,000 cases in the United States in February, consisting of 10,000 cases in the state of New york city and the Coronavirus flu virus that pertained to New York, did not originate from China. It originated from Europe.”

” When you look at the number of flights that came from Europe to New York, the New York city area, New York and New Jersey throughout January, February, up to the close down, 13,000 flights bringing 2.2 million individuals,” he said. November, December you have the break out in China.

” We acted 2 months after the China outbreak,” the guv said. “When you look back, does anybody believe the infection was still in China waiting for us to act 2 months later on? We all discuss the international economy and how quick individuals move and how mobile we are. How can you expect that when you act two months after the break out in China, the infection was just in China awaiting us to act? The horse had already left the barn by the time we moved.”

GOV. ANDREW CUOMO: Last November, December, we knew that China had an infection break out. You could check out about it in the newspapers? Everyone understood. January 26, we understand we had actually the very first confirmed case in Seattle, Washington, and California. February 2nd, the president bought a travel ban from China. March 1st we have the first validated case in the state of New york city. By March 19 th, New York state is absolutely closed down. No state moved much faster from very first case to shut down then the state of New york city.

March 16 th we have a complete travel ban from Europe. Scientists now find and they report in some newspapers, the virus was spreading out wildly in Italy in February and there was a break out, enormous outbreak in Italy in February. Scientists now say there were likely 28,000 cases in the United States in February, consisting of 10,000 cases in the state of New York and the Coronavirus influenza virus that came to New York, did not originate from China. It originated from Europe.

When you look at the number of flights that came from Europe to New York, the New York city, New York and New Jersey throughout January, February, up to the shut down, 13,000 flights bringing 2.2 million individuals. All right. So November, December you have the break out in China. Everyone knows.

Individuals are also coming from China in January, up until the China closed down and the flights continue to come from Europe up until the Europe shutdown. 2.2 million individuals come to New York and come to New Jersey.

We acted two months after the China break out. When you look back, does anyone think the virus was still in China awaiting us to act two months later? All of us discuss the global economy and how quick individuals move and how mobile we are. How can you expect that when you act two months after the break out in China, the virus was just in China waiting on us to act? The horse had currently left the barn by the time we moved.

A researcher now states knowing the number of flights entering New york city from Italy, it resembled viewing a dreadful train wreck in slow movement. Those are the flights that were coming from Italy and from Europe, January and February. We closed the front door with the China travel restriction, which was. Even in retrospect, it was right, but we left the back entrance open because the infection had left China by the time we did the China travel restriction. That’s what the researchers are now stating with 28,000 cases in the United States saying, with 28,000 cases in the United States, 10,000 in New York. So what is the lesson? A break out anywhere is a break out all over. When you see in November and December a break out in China, simply assume the next day it’s in the United States. When they say it remains in China, just presume that infection got on an airplane that night and flew to New York, or flew to Newark Airport, and it’s now in New york city. That has to be the operating mindset, since you don’t know that the virus didn’t get on a plane. All you require is someone to get on that plane in China and concern New York. The way this infection transfers, that’s all you need, and you can’t assume two months later on the infection is still going to be resting on a park bench in China waiting on you to arrive. That is the lesson, and once again, why do we need to find out the lesson? Since they’re discussing this occurring again with this infection, where it might mutate in China and get on an aircraft and come right back, or the next virus, or the next pandemic.
