Sunday COVID-19 Update: 394 Cases

Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (PHD) reports an additional 9 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county today. The overall number of confirmed cases is 394.

Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (PHD) is reporting that an additional person has died of COVID-19 The individual who passed was put behind bars at the Lompoc Prison [Click here for more information] As of today, there are 385 confirmed cases of COVID-19

” Public Health extends our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of the person who sadly passed,” said Santa Barbara County Public Health Director Dr. Van Do-Reynoso. “We continue to actively partner with Prison and State Management to alleviate exposure both inside and beyond the center to avoid more spread of the infection.”

Although many cases of COVID-19 exhibit mild or moderate signs, PHD advises additional steps to avoid direct exposure amongst susceptible individuals, consisting of the elderly and those with underlying health conditions (such as diabetes, cancer, immunodeficiency, asthma, COPD and others). Public Health Officer Extends Modified Stay Well In Your Home Order
