Previous Obama White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett stated Tuesday there’s “no chance” former first girl Michelle Obama would accept a vice presidential slot from presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden.
Ms. Jarrett, who was the longest-serving advisor to former President Barack Obama, weighed in on the speculation surrounding Mr. Biden’s potential running mate during an interview with The Hill.
” The reason why I’m being so indisputable is that there just merely has never been a time when she’s expressed an interest in running for workplace,” Ms. Jarrett said of the previous first lady.
Her comments come after Mr. Biden stated Monday that he ‘d take Mrs. Obama as a running mate “in a heart beat.”
” She’s brilliant,” the previous vice president said.
” Of course, he would take her,” Ms. Jarrett told The Hill. “That’s not the question. … The concern is, is this the way in which she wishes to continue her life of service?”
” There is a distinction in between being a public servant and being a politician, and she has no interest in being a politician,” she included.
While her other half backed Mr. Biden recently, Mrs. Obama is still working on the rollout of her endorsement with the Biden campaign, which may include online charity events and e-mail and direct-mail advertising campaigns with her stamp of approval, The Hill reported.
