THE NUMBER OF NEW CORONAVIRUS CASES IN PENNSYLVANIA CONTINUES ON A DOWNWARD TREND. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS CHART. STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S LATEST REPORT SAYS 451 MORE PEOPLE HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19. COMPARE THAT TO A MONTH AND A HALF AGO, WHEN WE WERE SEEING ABOUT 2,000 NEW CASES EACH DAY. HEALTH OFFICIALS SAY 61% OF THE PENNSYLVANIANS WHO TESTED POSITIVE HAVE FULLY RECOVERED. THE STATE ALSO REPORTED 13 ADDITIONAL DEATHS LINKED TO THE VIRUS. GOVERNOR WOLF SAYS THE STATE IS MAKING STRIDES IN TESTING. VIRUS TESTING INCREASED FROM 50,000 TESTS IN THE LAST WEEK OF APRIL TO NEARLY 80,000 LAST WEEK. YOU CAN NOW GET A COVID-19 TEST AT MORE THAN 300 LOCATIONS ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA. THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT IS ALSO CONFIRMING AT LEAST NINE CASES OF AN INFLAMMATORY CONDITION IN CHILDREN LINKED WITH CORONAVIRUS IN PENNSYLVANIA. ANOTHER SIX CASES ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION. SYMPTOMS INCLUDE A PERSISTENT HIGH FEVER, RASH OR CHANGE IN SKIN COLOR, SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES, RED EYES, AND ABDOMINAL PAIN. THE ILLNESS HAS BEEN REPORTED IN DOZENS OF CHILDREN IN NEW YORK, AND IN SEVERAL CHILDREN IN OTHER STATES. A FEW CHILDREN

The State Health Department is expected to provide more details about COVID-19 in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.On Monday, Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine confirmed at least nine cases of an inflammatory condition in children linked to COVID-19.Another six cases are under investigation.Symptoms include a persistent high fever, rash or change in skin color, swollen lymph nodes, red eyes and abdominal pain.The illness has been reported in dozens of children in New York and in several children in other states.Meanwhile, the number of new coronavirus cases in Pennsylvania continues on a downward trend.451 additional cases were reported Monday.The state also reported 13 additional deaths linked to the virus.

The State Health Department is expected to provide more details about COVID-19 in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

On Monday, Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine confirmed at least nine cases of an inflammatory condition in children linked to COVID-19.

Another six cases are under investigation.

Symptoms include a persistent high fever, rash or change in skin color, swollen lymph nodes, red eyes and abdominal pain.

The illness has been reported in dozens of children in New York and in several children in other states.
