Trump described truck motorists as the “lifeblood of our economy” in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
” In the war against the infection, American truckers are the foot soldiers who are carrying us to triumph,” Trump said at the occasion, whose theme was ” Thank God for truckers.”
Trump spoke on the White House yard, where trucks were shown in the background of the speaking podium.
” Getting the honor and respect that I think the 3.5 million truck chauffeurs are worthy of was just heartwarming since it was not personally me, it’s all of us doing our jobs,” Richardson stated.
