ATLANTA (AP)– Atlanta authorities say a 16- year-old boy was fatally shot by his stepfather throughout a battle that may have been connected to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports 42- year-old Bernie Hargrove was charged Thursday early morning with felony murder in the death of De’onte Roberts.
Authorities say the teen defied his mom and stepfather’s orders to stay home.
Roberts later returned house and kicked in the door. A battle broke out in between Hargrove and Roberts.
Cops say Hargrove shot Roberts several times.
The teenager was noticable dead at a hospital.
Hargrove has been reserved in the Fulton County Jail.
