The brother of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Jace, died Thursday.

Jace Prescott was the middle of three brothers and he was 31. Northwestern State University’s assistant athletic director for media relations. Jason Pugh, confirmed the news to the Shreveport Times.

“He was a great kid who dominated games,” Prescott’s high school football coach, Rodney Guin told The Times. “He was a pleasure to coach — as were all the Prescott boys.”

At 6-foot-6, 343 pounds, the formidable former Haughton High star played offensive lineman for the Demons from 2008-10.

Prescott earned honorable mention on the LHSAA’s 2006 Class 4A All-State football team. He was named to the 2007 All-City Track team in the shot put.

Last year, Jace Prescott was featured in a Campbell’s “Champions of Chunky” commercial with younger brother Dak and older brother, Tad.

Dak Prescott saw his brothers as a point of motivation to make it to the NFL.

“I’m playing for my brothers,” Dak said. “Also for my grandmas, aunts, uncles, dad and friends. (Haughton High) Coach (Rodney) Guin — anybody who helped me get in this
