COVID-19
The number of coronavirus deaths and hospitalizations have each topped 1,000, according to the latest Alabama Department of Public Health figures.
ADPH’s July 7 10 a.m. numbers show 45,263 cases in the state, an increase of 888 over yesterday. Following two days with zero deaths, ADPH is now reporting 23 COVID fatalities, bringing the total to 1,007. Hospitalizations continue to rise as well, with 1,016 in the hospital, an increase of more than 100 from the previous day.
Alabama has administered 460,842 coronvirus tests, 127,292 in the past 14 days. Of the tests in the last two weeks, 13,511 have been positive.
