MISSOULA — On Monday, Missoula County officials reported 45 active cases, with 16 new cases over the weekend, bring Missoula’s cumulative case total to 90.

The county is also dealing with 265 close contacts to those cases.

The county is also reporting that there are more active cases pending investigation and contact tracing. The county will report the additional cases when the processes are finalized.

Due to the recent surge in positive cases that require the county’s health department staff and incident command leadership, the county has decided to prioritize the testing of symptomatic individuals and pause Sentinel Testing for asymptomatic individuals.

However, the county encourages those who are not experiencing symptoms but fall within a high-risk category to connect with the health department about their options at 406-258-4770.
