Coronavirus is still raging in Florida, with 2,610 new cases recorded on Wednesday.
The latest statistics, released by state health officials, come a day after the state saw a record 2,783 cases of COVID-19 — and 25 new deaths.
That brings the total number of cases in the Sunshine State to 82,719, with 3,018 dead.
Three of the latest deaths were in Miami-Dade County, two in Broward and six in Palm Beach County, Local 10 reported.
Of those tested for the first time in the state, 10.3 percent were positive for coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state wouldn’t slow down reopening efforts despite the surge in cases since Florida entered Phase One in mid-May.
The state has recorded more than 1,000 new cases each day except one since June 3, according to Local 10.
