The projections, supplied by the Institute for Illness Modeling in Washington, are only quotes used for preparation by Oregon health officials.

While imperfect, the authorities say they use the current evidence that Oregon flattened the curve of its COVID-19 outbreak through the strict social distancing measures imposed more than a month ago.

” Our cumulative efforts are working,” said Dr. Dean Sidelinger, the state’s epidemiologist.
