NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre said on Thursday that leading quarterback possibility Joe Burrow has the “ideal” chance to make history by bringing his home town Cincinnati Bengals their very first Super Bowl.

” I think this is set up [perfectly] for him to go back house to lead his group. It might not be at first, however I mean, I think it’s set up ideal and I don’t know why you would do anything different,” the previous Green Bay Packers quarterback informed “Fox & Buddies.”

Burrow attended Athens High School in The Plains, Ohio, attending Ohio State prior to moving to LSU, where he led the Tigers to the nationwide title this previous season.

Meanwhile, previous NFL quarterback Carson Palmer said Tuesday he didn’t in the beginning believe that Burrow was a lock to go to the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 1 pick, as most have actually forecasted.

The Bengals drafted Palmer with the No. 1 choice of the 2003 draft. He spent seven seasons with the group before a rift with the organization ended his period there. He said the Bengals shouldn’t overlook Ohio State star Chase Young.

” That’s a fantastic question. At the end of the day, when you’re looking at Andy Dalton, who’s currently under agreement for the Bengals, who is a truly good gamer. He gets a knock generally due to the fact that he’s bet the Bengals,” Palmer stated in a look on “The Dan Patrick Program.”

The Bengals are on the clock and are most likely to take Burrow. It would be the 5th time out of the last six years that a group would have taken a quarterback with the No 1 pick.

Favre, who was drafted in 1991 by the Atlanta Falcons, said that amid the coronavirus shutdown, the NFL Draft procedure would resemble the way it was carried out years back.

“[The NFL draft] has sort of taken an action back in time,” Favre stated. “There will not be any cordless phones, there will not be any blue jean shorts, obviously,” he joked, describing his clothes on the day he was drafted out of Southern Mississippi.
